There are, strictly speaking, two types of suede materials sold at ch!iii.
One is nubuck (products made with Italian suede), which is made by napping the grain side of the leather, and the other is suede (such as pigtote), which uses the flesh side of the leather. At ch!iii, for simplicity, we refer to both as suede.
The care methods are the same, so please refer to them. ✨

■ Waterproof spray / Protective spray
Using a waterproof spray or protective spray specifically for napped materials before use is also effective. It prevents water, oil, and other dirt from seeping into the fibers.
Specifications vary by manufacturer, so please be sure to test it on an inconspicuous area, such as the bottom, before use.

■ For light dirt
Suede dirt is almost always attached to the napped part. For light dirt, brush it with a horsehair brush or a natural rubber brush.
Also, occasionally brushing the entire surface after use will help to align the nap and prevent shine caused by dirt.
The ch!iii original care brush is specially made to suit the suede products used at ch!iii, so it is highly recommended! ♬
Of course, you can use brushes you already own or commercially available brushes. ✨

■ When it gets wet
If it gets wet with rain or other moisture, thoroughly wipe it with a dry towel to absorb the moisture, then air dry it in the shade, and then try brushing it to straighten the nap.

If there is noticeable dirt, it might be a good idea to ask a cleaning service that handles leather products. However, ch!iii's leather products are designed so that you can enjoy their aging as you use them.
Even if they become soft and change color, they are still cute. ♡

Suede is a flexible, durable material with a napped surface that gives it a warm image, but it is an excellent material that can be used all year round.

The leather x canvas combination vanity bag has leather on parts that are easily soiled, such as the handle and corners.
Therefore, it is less likely to get dirty, but here are some tips on how to care for the canvas parts.

To prevent dirt from sticking, waterproof sprays and water-repellent sprays are also effective on canvas.
(Specifications vary depending on the manufacturer, so always check in an inconspicuous area on the bottom of the bag.)

If it gets wet, wipe off the water with a dry cloth and then air dry it in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. This is the same as for leather.

For minor stains, gently rub with a brush or a white eraser, and most of them will come off.
If the stain still doesn't come off, try gently scrubbing with a soft brush soaked in a neutral detergent diluted with water. If you use water, always air dry it in the shade.

While these materials offer a delicate shine,
they may tarnish or fade over time due to the effects of moisture in the air, sebum, friction, etc.

■ Care Instructions for Plated Hardware

・Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth (such as a spectacle cloth) after use to prevent sebum and dirt from adhering and to maintain the shine for longer.

・If you are concerned about dirt, dampen a soft cloth with diluted neutral detergent, wipe gently, and then immediately dry with a clean cloth to remove any moisture.

・Please refrain from using abrasives or alcohol-based cleaners, as these may damage the plating.
