The product "SHRUNKEN CARF" is from the only tannery in Germany that specializes in chrome tanning and calf hides (known as kip hides in Japan).

In selecting raw hides, they are particular about even what the cows eat, and in tanning, they do things other tanneries don't, such as aging the leather for a while after tanning to maintain a constant pH level inside the leather.

It is characterized by its soft, springy feel, plump appearance, and uneven grain. As it is shrunken leather, it has been shrunk using chemicals.

Compared to regular smooth leather, it shrinks by approximately 20-30%, which increases the unit price, but this soft and plump texture is a unique charm not found in other leathers, and its value is greatly felt when it becomes a product.
