This time, I wanted to create a pair of denim that, at first glance, looks basic but has a completely different silhouette when worn, like the first 3D-cut denim from maison brands or Levi's Red. "Wow, they've done something amazing!" That's how these jeans came to be.

They're packed with many careful details, a new pair of denim that is well-designed without being overdone.

The most distinctive feature is that the pants, which are usually constructed from front and back patterns, are made from a single piece for the front and back. The side seams are constructed with darts, and by bringing the tip of the dart near the knee, the sides form a natural loop, creating a soft, airy nuance.

Pants with looped sides are common in cut-and-sew items, but it's very rare to see it done with denim.

Also, by adding a gusset to the crotch area, it becomes more three-dimensional and incredibly comfortable to wear. The delicate technique of adding a gusset to thick denim fabric is also a point I definitely want you to see✨

The single dart at the waist not only adds to the design but also creates a soft, three-dimensional silhouette similar to high-quality cotton or wool pants, making the waist look smaller and enhancing the overall style.

For details, a cinch back is attached to the back, which is not only convenient for adjusting the waist but also gives a classic feel. We incorporated features found in old work pants and denim, such as the narrowness of the belt loops and waistband.

The fading process also strongly emphasizes a vintage feel, but I had them create fading that is not typically seen, expressing my idea of luxury.

I aimed for a vintage look at first glance, yet an elegant impression when worn.

The fabric and sewing are of the same authentic quality as before.

This 11.2 oz Okayama denim is made from slub yarn, a blend based on high-quality American cotton, rope-dyed with pure indigo.Because it's a regular ounce denim with a strong wash, it's not too stiff and offers comfortable wear with a moderate softness.It makes it easy to achieve the style of tucking your favorite wide-leg denim into boots!✨

Core thread is used for stitching, allowing the color to change slightly along with the fabric. The more you wear them, the more the threads will thin, increasing the vintage feel.
The sewing is carefully done at a factory in Kochi specializing in denim pants, using a Union Special chain stitch sewing machine.

■Union Special sewing machine
This is the oldest and largest high-quality industrial sewing machine manufacturing company remaining in America.
Since the same models are no longer produced today, there are only a few Union Special machines left in Japan.

■Union Special Chain Stitch Hemming Machine
This sewing machine has a needle that protrudes diagonally from the main body. As a result, the fabric is sewn while being pulled diagonally, creating a unique, wavy puckering effect.

■Rope Dyeing

In this process, bundles of yarn (400 to 600 strands) are placed in a container filled with indigo dye. Indigo dye oxidizes and turns blue when exposed to air.
By repeating this process many times, the color concentration increases, resulting in a vibrant indigo blue.

Because this rope dyeing process does not completely dye the core of the yarn, the yarn remains white in the center. Only the outside of the yarn is dyed blue, while the core remains white, allowing the color to fade with wear, and you can enjoy the unique, rich texture of denim.
