These are natural characteristics from when the animal was alive and are proof that it is genuine leather. Please understand that this is a unique expression of natural leather before purchasing.

'PERINGER'
A unique tanner in Germany that specializes in chrome tanning and calf hides (known as kip hides in Japan), producing 'SHRUNKEN CARF' products.
They are meticulous about raw hide selection, even considering what the cows eat, and for tanning, they age the leather for a certain period after tanning to maintain a consistent pH level inside the leather, a process not followed by other tanners.

Its characteristics include a soft, plump feel and a rich texture with indentations (grain).
As it is shrink leather, the leather is shrunk using chemicals. Compared to regular smooth leather, it shrinks by approximately 20-30%, which increases the unit cost, but this plump and soft material texture is a unique charm that other leathers do not possess, and it becomes very noticeable when it is made into a product.

Since it is chrome-tanned, it is highly resistant to friction and dirt, and it also features a unique color-fixing process to prevent color fading.
