“Slouch(ｽﾗｳﾁ)”＝少し前かがみになる、
だらりと垂れる、という意味。

きれいに形を保つボストンではなく、
革が自然にたわみ、持ち方によって
フォルムそのものが変化する。
そんな佇まいから名付けた
新作【Slouch Boston】です。

使用したのは、自然なシボと
ふっくらとした質感が魅力のシュリンクレザー。
しなやかな革の特性を活かし、丸みを残しながら、
あえて形を決めすぎないフォルムに仕上げました。

太さを持たせたハンドルも、
このバッグの特徴のひとつ。
柔らかな革を使用することで、
自然に倒れたり重なったり。
バッグ本体と同じように、
くたっとした革の表情を楽しめるデザインです。

そして【Slouch Boston】のいちばんの特徴が、
背面にのみ配した斜め掛け用のショルダー。

通常のボストンバッグのように前後や両サイドで
支えるのではなく、ショルダーの取り付けを
あえて背面にすることで、斜め掛けにしたときに
バッグ上部から前面が自然にたわむようデザインしています。

手持ちでは、丸みのあるボストンらしいフォルム。
斜め掛けにすると、上部がくたっと折れるように
身体に沿い、まったく違ったシルエットに。

形を崩して持つのではなく、持つことでこの形になる。
本シュリンクならではの柔らかさを、
素材だけでなくバッグの構造そのものに活かした、
新しいBoston Bagです。
